About the Game

Flap Dash: Gem Hopper is a free-to-play flappy bird-style arcade game you can play right in your browser or on iOS. Navigate your bird through challenging pipe obstacles across 1,000 progressive levels, hunt floating gems and power-ups, complete daily missions, and unlock 16 unique bird types — each with special abilities that change how you play.

Whether you're looking for a quick casual session or want to challenge yourself to reach level 1000, Flap Dash offers something for everyone. The game features progressive difficulty, two earnable currencies, and a fresh set of daily missions every 24 hours.

How to Play

Controls are simple — tap the screen, click, or press the spacebar to make your bird flap and fly upward. Avoid the pipes and obstacles to keep going. The longer you survive, the higher your score!

• Tap / Click / Spacebar — Flap your wings
• Avoid pipes — Don't hit the top, bottom, or sides of pipes
• Collect 💎 gems and 🪙 gold coins — Two currencies to spend in the shop
• Grab power-ups — Lightning, Magnet, Star, and Gem Shield boost your run
• Use abilities — Special birds have unique powers to help you survive

Two Earnable Currencies

• 💎 Gems — earned only in-game (pickups, daily missions, score milestones every 10, near-miss bonuses, reward ads). Cannot be purchased.
• 🪙 Gold Coins — the rare currency. Earned passively (+1 per 5 pipes) or via in-app coin packs.

Daily Missions & Power-Ups

Every day brings 3 fresh missions: collect gems, reach scores, and pass pipes. Claim them for bonus gems. Floating power-ups appear between pipes:

• ⚡ Lightning — +20 coins
• 🧲 Magnet — auto-grab nearby gems for 5 seconds
• ⭐ Star — +10 coins and +2 score
• 🛡 Gem Shield — absorbs the next hit
• COMBO — chaining gem collections multiplies your gem rewards (resets if you miss one)
• Near-Miss — squeezing within 14px of a pipe awards +2 gems

16 Unique Birds

Flap Dash features 16 different birds you can unlock in the shop. Every locked bird shows BOTH a gem price and a gold coin price, so you can spend whichever currency you have more of. Three special birds have unique abilities:

• Shadow Bird — Earns 1.5x score with 1 free respawn per game (across 3 games)
• Frost Bird — Slows all pipes for 3 seconds, giving breathing room in tough sections
• Phoenix Bird — Drag-to-fly with invincibility for 12 sec or 6 pipes — the ultimate bird for skilled players

Progressive Difficulty

The game gets harder as you progress, but in a fair and balanced way:

• Levels 1-24: Basic pipes with generous gaps. Perfect for learning the game.
• Levels 25-99: A single attack bird appears occasionally. Still manageable.
• Levels 100-150: The hard zone! Upward pipes, double pipes, faster speeds, and more attack birds challenge even experienced players.
• Levels 151+: Difficulty resets to easy. A reward for surviving the hard zone!
• Level 990+: Crow guards appear as a final boss challenge before reaching level 1000.
• Level 1000: Champion of Flap Dash! A special victory celebration awaits.
