Introduction
Flap Dash ("we", "our", "the game") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
Information We Collect
Flap Dash is designed to collect minimal data:
- Game progress (local-only) — Your high score, gem balance (💎), gold coin balance (🪙), unlocked birds, selected bird, lives, daily mission progress, ability charges (Frost Bird slow-down uses, Phoenix Bird drag-control uses), Shadow Bird respawn count, unlocked achievements, and audio settings are saved locally on your device using browser localStorage (or the app's local storage on iOS). This data never leaves your device.
- Optional Global Leaderboard — If you choose to claim a username, we store on our server: (a) the username you choose (server-side profanity-filtered), (b) a randomly generated device ID created on first launch (not Apple's IDFA or IDFV — a random UUID), and (c) your highest submitted score and achievement count. We do NOT collect your name, email, location, contacts, or any device identifier from Apple. The leaderboard is entirely optional. To request remote deletion, email adisssal7@hotmail.com.
- Purchase information — If you make in-app purchases via Apple App Store or Stripe, the respective payment processor handles your payment data. We do not store credit card numbers.
- Analytics — We may collect anonymous usage data to improve the game experience.
Advertising
Flap Dash uses the following advertising services:
- Google AdSense (web version) — Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out at Google Ads Settings.
- Google AdMob (iOS app) — AdMob may collect device identifiers for personalized advertising. You can limit ad tracking in your device settings.
Third-Party Services
- Apple App Store — Handles iOS in-app purchases and payment processing.
- Stripe — Handles web payment processing for coin and item purchases.
- Google AdSense / AdMob — Provides advertising services.
Data Storage
All gameplay data (scores, gems, gold coins, birds, missions, ability charges, settings, achievements) is stored locally on your device. The only server-stored data is the optional leaderboard entry (username + random device ID + high score) described above. Gems cannot be purchased — they are earned through gameplay (pickups, daily missions, score milestones, near-miss bonuses) or by watching optional reward ads on iOS.
Children's Privacy
Flap Dash does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The game does not require account creation or personal data to play. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.
Your Rights
You can clear all your game data at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage or uninstalling the app. Since we don't store your data on our servers, there is nothing to delete on our end.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
